π GATE Online Form 2026 – Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
Official Notification IIT Guwahati has released the notification for GATE 2026. The exam will be held as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) across India on 7, 8, 14 & 15 February 2026 covering 30 papers.
π About GATE
GATE is a national examination conducted jointly by IISc & the 23 IITs (on behalf of NCB, MoE). A valid GATE score is used for:
- Admission/Financial aid to Master’s/Direct PhD in Engineering/Technology/Architecture
- Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Arts & Science
- Recruitment in PSUs (BHEL, GAIL, HAL, IOCL, NTPC, NPCIL, ONGC, PGCIL, etc.)
- Direct recruitment to certain Group-A posts in Govt. of India

- Education: 3rd year or higher / completed any Govt-approved UG degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities.
- Age Limit: No age limit for appearing in GATE 2026.

- Fill personal, academic & paper details carefully.
- Upload photo, signature, valid ID and other documents as required.
- Pay the fee and submit the application.
- Download/print the confirmation page for future use.

The last date to apply without late fee is 28th September 2025, and with late fee is 9th October 2025.

Candidates in the 3rd year or higher of an undergraduate degree or those who have already completed a government-approved UG degree can apply. There is no age limit.
Q. What is the validity of the GATE 2026 score?
The GATE 2026 score will be valid for 3 years from the date of result announcement.
